Things just didn't go their way during Saturday's games against the Saskatoon Giants.

The Giants scored five runs in the third, adding singles in the fourth and fifth as well as two more in the seventh. The Twins made their push in the sixth inning scoring four runs adding one more in the seventh to fall short in the end 9-5.

In game two it was much of the same, the Giants were leading 5-0 by the fifth inning. Although, the Twins would answer back with five runs of their own in the bottom of the fifth and a single In the seventh, the Giants would go on to score nine runs over the final four innings to win the game 14-6.

"You cant blame everything on the weather, the boys just came out flat," Head coach Blaine Kovach said of his teams performance, "When we did get our base runners on and we had a tough time scoring, the guys just weren't really themselves that day."

"I think it's best to take the lumps early in the season. We'll take it in stride and pick up from there," he added.

After this weekend, the Twins record now sits at 4-3. A break in the regular season schedule has the Twins next game against the Regina Wolfpack on Saturday, May 27th in Regina.

The break in the schedule is for the Saskatoon Selects Tournament this coming weekend. The Twins walked away from last years tournament as champions.

Sunday's scheduled games against the Red Sox were postponed due to rain.
