It was a learning weekend for the Estevan TS&M Bantam Bruins, as they split two back to back games.

Winning 3-2 in overtime on Saturday over the Swift Current Broncos in Affinity Place, they then hosted the Notre Dame Hounds on Sunday, falling 4-3 despite a 2 goal comeback in the last few moments.

"Friday night we survived, we competed hard," observed Head Coach Tom Copeland, who pointed to goaltender Zane Winter as putting a solid performance on the ice.

"We gotta get more bodies to the net, get second opportunities, more O-zone time. It can't be one scoring chance and done."

He also made note of the youth on the squad, with several 1st year players, and that there are a lot of lessons yet to be learned. In addition, recent injuries have neccesitated suiting up some new bodies, and getting them worked into the team's rhythms on the ice.
