The Southeast Midget AAA Twins swept the Northwest Prairie Pirates on Saturday in their double header from Lynne Prime Park in Estevan.

In the first game, Brett MacMurchy went the distance on the mound as the Twins won 4-1. The second game saw Ryan Gaab strike out nine in a complete-game win, giving up one run in a 3-1 victory.

"Our Saturday games we managed to play better baseball than we did during Fridays loss," said Twins Head Coach Blaine Kovach. "We seemed to wipe out what we did on Friday, and our starting pitching played very well. We got those timely hits and capitalized on their errors."

A stiff test will come on Wednesday where the Twins will play a back to back against the Muenster Red Sox on the road. The Red Sox currently sit in second place with a record of 19-5 in the Saskatchewan Premier Baseball League.

"We're just trying to get in the right mind-frame right now, it will be a tough one on Wednesday. As long as we play good baseball like we have been that's all that matters."
