The Town of Alabama is hoping the weather holds so they can complete a few outstanding projects.

"We have one of our reservoirs, we had lined the bottom," explained Alan Schiestel Alameda Town Foreman. "We had spray coated the bottom and we thought we'd do the other one this fall."

He added that they need about a week's worth of nice weather to finish off that project.

Other projects they have still to do are draining the park, flushing the lines and maintenance on the town wells.

"Most of the other stuff we did through the summer but it's just the fall projects that we have to do before winter to get everything ready."

"The campground in town, we leave it go as long as we can. We try to go right to the end of October. And there is a road crew with the RM but of course, they're down right now because of the wet conditions but they're hoping to finish."

The tree is crew is also busy taking down diseased elms and problem poplars and work will likely start next week getting the ice ready at the skating rink.
