People want to spend time outside now with the hot weather.

"With Summer here there's a lot of kids out there biking around on their bicycles and a couple of things we want to remind parents, there is a bylaw in place and that kids have to wear a bicycle helmet," shared Estevan's Police Chief Paul Ladoucer.

"We want to encourage everybody to be wearing a bicycle helmet out there. It certainly has been proven to save lives and has certainly prevented injuries. If a child falls of their bike and hits their head while wearing a helmet, their head is protected."

"Always wear a helmet and the second thing is for motorists out there, pay attention kids are unpredictable they're out there having fun and sometimes forget to look both ways. It's our responsibility as adults and experienced drivers to pay attention and watch for bicycles out there on the road."
