Estevan folks will have another opportunity to tidy up their yards and dispose of junk before the snow flies once again.

"This weekend, the City of Estevan with Operation Clean Sweep is opening the landfill, to Estevan residents only," shared Roads and Drainage Manager Norm Mack.

Furniture, grass clippings, tree branches and regular household including appliances will all be accepted for free. However, this excludes items such as refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners and mattresses.

"Proof of driver's license and street address will be needed at the gate."

"Operation Clean Sweep is just another way for us as citizens of Estevan to clean up the city, and it gives you a chance to get some of the debris and refuse out of your yard," Mack added.

It runs Friday through Sunday, with the normal landfill hours of operation.
