Many children from all around the world will benefit from the giving spirit of southeast Saskatchewan's residents, as another Operation Christmas Child shoe box campaign has come to a close.

The truck arrived Sunday evening at the Estevan Alliance Church to pick up it's load.

"They stopped coming in at 4:00 PM, and we got 1,180 boxes from Estevan and area," shared Campaign Coordinator Jillian Ursu.

"We're a little bit lower in numbers this year, but still, it's a generous donation from the community. We always love to see how it comes out at the end of the season."

They also had some strong help in loading the truck from members of the Estevan Bruins.

The boxes' next stop will be Calgary, where they will be sorted and then distributed around the world.
