The estevan City Coucnil will meet again for their first meeting of 2018.

Mayor Roy Ludwig noted that it will likely be a short meeting. One presentation on the agenda will be from Envision Counselling and Support.

"With reassessment, it would appear that they're suggesting that their taxes went up which didn't correlate with their income. They're looking at the City giving them a hand so that's something that council will have to look at. They're also requesting that the City waives the rental fee for Savour the Southeast event on May 5, 2018 because proceeds will go to Envision Counselling."

Ludwig added that there are a few applicants for both the Economic Development Board, the Community Grant Committee, as well as the Police Board. Also on the agenda is a presentation of the Request for Proposals (RFPs)

"Rod March (Manager of Parks and Recreation) went over the RFPs that we got. he has made a recommendation so we'll be having discussions on that as well."

The City's budget for the new year is also something council is working on. Ludwig noted that discussions will likely take place next meeting, if not tonight.
