The latest numbers have been released from SaskPower in an update on the Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) unit at the Boundary Dam Power Station, Unit 3 (BD3).

The CCS spent 84 percent of the month of October in operation, although some boiler snags necessitated it to be shut down for four days for repairs.

However, despite the downtime the unit set a peak one-day capture rate, at 2,798 tonnes. The total carbon captured in October amounts to 70,534 tonnes, putting the total since operational start up at 2,317,278 tonnes.
