City crews were up and on the job early this morning making sure you had a safe drive to work.

With the lack of snow over the past few weeks, it can be easy to forget the crews that tirelessly work to maintain the city streets, for them this morning was an early one, roads and drainage manager Norm Mac.

"This morning city crews were out at three AM starting on priority one streets. We are currently wind rolling the streets and we will have blower crews going a little later today. We are expecting more snow it looks like in the forecast so our efforts will continue and well concentrate on priority ones and twos then at that time we will review what we got and see how much snow we got and then head into priority threes."

If you see snow clearing equipment on the road give them plenty of space and if at all possible avoid parking on the street until your road has been cleared.
