While most fans were focused on an exciting, and rather one-sided, hockey game the Estevan Police Service was dealing with a situation in Affinity Place.

"A couple police members were on patrol inside Affinity Place last night at the Bruins game, and interacting with the public and the kids that were at the event. A citizen approached a police member in the lobby and handed police a little baggie of what appeared to be drugs," related Sergeant Tyler McMillan.

"It did test positive for cocaine, and it was reported to have been found on the floor in the lobby, just outside of the washrooms in the main portion of Affinity."

"It's concerning that somebody would have that at a hockey game, a family event," he added, "With the amount of kids running around there, thank goodness none of them picked it up and got into it."

The investigation is ongoing, and the drugs were dealt with as appropriate by police.

Other incidents of the night shift included finding a missing 13 year old girl for her mother, and attending a call to assist EMS.
