Judges for Communities in bloom are coming down July 15th. The program recognizes communities for there participation in 6 different given criteria.

Parks Foreman with the city Shannon Wanner explains.

"They will be here for the day and we will be touring them around and show them some of our sites from around the city. They will include different projects that we were working on from our cemetery to our flower beds to the new trees that are just being carved and things like that."

The event is important to Estevan because its another way to get our name out in other communities across Canada to promote the beauty of Estevan.

"The big thing with communities in bloom is if you want to participate just make sure your yard looks really good, cut grass, painted fences, garbage picked up and things like that. I know one of the things last year that the judges were really impressed with was how tidy our city was so I'm hoping this set of judges will think are just as tidy as the ones did last year.

Wanner says her favorite part is showing the judges how proud she is of the city and how hard a lot of people work to make it look as good as it does.
