Things are looking up for the snow removal and drainage in the Energy City. Although the last blizzard forced city crews to begin the process of cleaning the roads all over again, they are already caught up to where they need to be.

Roads and Drainage Manager Norm Mack noted that they had the streets clear in time before the melting runoff began.

"We currently have crews out every day opening catch basins and making sure our drainage ditches are clear. We will now be supervising any water flow over the next few days as well, including the weekend."

He related that their current plan of attack is a 'wait and see what happens with the snow' approach.

"We don't see any current threat to our drainage system whatsoever right now. We've had a continuous slow melt for the last few weeks, and it's really helped us out."

"Everything seems to be in order," Mack concluded.
