The man has since been released on several conditions, and will appear in court on July 10.

Police Chief Ladouceur praised the Drug Intelligence Unit and the Estevan police for the investigation and subsequent arrest.

"Since we started with our Drug and Intelligence Unit, we are identifying those who are dealing drugs more diligently. We have developed a very unique and robust system for targeting drug dealers within the city of Estevan and surrounding area."

"Kudos to the great men and women who are out there doing the work. It's easy for me to sit here and take credit for it but it's really our front line member that are out there getting this information, getting this intelligence and solving theses incidents."

He adds that working with the community had also helped.

"We're also seeing a lot of community members who are tired of this in this community that are ready to speak out."

"I encourage members of the public if you know of someone who is dealing drugs, to reach out to the police. You don't have to identify yourself. If we make an agreement not to use your name, that agreement would certainly be honoured, and legally is required to be honoured."
