The partial solar eclipse yesterday, garnered quite a bit of attention worldwide. Here, in Estevan, many watched through special eye wear or homemade projectors while other preferred to watch streaming video online.

Estevan resident Mark Kroeker took in the eclipse with his daughters.

"I thought it was really neat, something that doesn't happen very often," he explained. "I used a welding helmet and I turned it as dark as it would go and I watched it through that."

Eight year old Abby was quick to agree.

"It was really cool and it was fun and I didn't know that was possible."
