EFRD Respond to Grass Fires

Crews were called out to a small grass fire northwest of Estevan.The Estevan Fire and Rescue Department responded to a small grass fire northwest of the city on Township Road 24 this afternoon.

"Crews were dispatched to a grass fire," explained Deputy Fire Chief, Rick Davies. "We believe the fire was started by maintenance crews cutting grass."

The small fire was quickly contained with no injuries.

And no sooner did they put out the blaze, they were called to another north of Estevan, east of the airport. That fire was quickly knocked down as well.
