SaskPower is reporting a power outage in the areas of Oungre, Tribune, Ratcliffe and Bromhead.

The outage was first reported at 1:18 p.m. and is expected to be fixed around 2 p.m.

SaskPower is reminding all Saskatchewan residents to stay safe during this wind storm, especially if they come across downed power lines. The crown corporation said those who come across downed power lines should stay at least 10 meters away from the lines as they could be live. Call 306-310-2220 as soon as possible if you see a downed power line.

According to Environment Canada, strong winds that may cause damage are occurring throughout the southeast and the area is currently under a wind warning. These winds may peak in the 70 gusting 90 km/h range during the late morning and early afternoon hours before diminishing slightly later in the afternoon.

Damage to buildings, such as to roof shingles and windows, may occur. Environment Canada warns resident to be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions due to high winds.
