A well-deserved promotion for an officer with over 20 years of experience has been made within the Estevan Police Service (EPS).

The EPS and the Estevan Board of Police Commissioners have announced the appointment of Inspector Murray Cowan as Deputy Chief of the Estevan Police Service.

Inspector Cowan is a long serving member of the Estevan Police Service and is dedicated to both the City of Estevan and its residents. He has served very well in the role of Inspector and will now be serving as Deputy Chief under the command of Chief of Police - Paul Ladouceur.

The board was unanimous in their decision to promote inspector Cowan to the rank of Deputy Chief.

“There are many significant projects and plans for our police service moving forward. It is essential that we have the leadership to see these projects and plans through. I am confident that Deputy Chief Cowan is the right person for this," expressed Police Chief Paul Ladouceur in a release made on Saturday.

An official promotional ceremony will be made at City Hall on Monday, March 27.
