The Estevan Police Service is ramping up their enforcement for a two day period, with an emphasis on several offences.

They announced on Friday that they will be hosting a Selective Traffic Enforcement Program (STEP) Enforcement Campaign from May 17-18 in the Energy City.

This involves members of several different agencies from across the province being in town to help out, and spot checks will set out in various locations. Traffic violations and vehicle equipment infractions will be in the crosshairs. Targeted offences include speeding, lack of seatbelt use, using cellphones, unlicensed drivers, and more.

In addition, criminal offences such as impaired driving will a focus, and will see high priority.
