The Estevan Police Service have been doing check-stops and have kept some impaired drivers off our streets in the Energy City.

Sgt. Tyler McMillen, "Early in the evening members were called to the parking lot along 13th Avenue, to a report of a bit of a domestic. Both parties were spoken to, it was determined that nothing criminal had occurred. But police did assist in retrieving personal items from a resident, and then took the one party to an alternate location to try to stop and try to minimize any other behavior so we had no further dealings with the pair."

"We were also called to a disturbance on the 700 block of 5th street, one man was arrested and lodged in cells for the night."

The police have also been doing a series of check-stops, McMillen shares, "Police also arrested a man refusing a breath test demand, made by a police officer during a traffic stop last night in Estevan. The man was lodged in cells until he was sober and will be released later in the day. The vehicle he was driving was also seized and impounded."
