The Estevan Police service saw a busier night than usual on Saturday.

"We were dealing with an intoxicated male who ended up entering into a vehicle and became uncooperative with us so he was taken into custody and processed for impaired driving," shared Sergeant Craig Bird.

"Through investigation he was found to be over the legal limit and was charged with having control of a motor vehicle while impaired. He will be appearing in the new year to answer to his charges."

"We did a traffic stop on another vehicle a little bit later and found that the driver was impaired, so we started into another investigation and we ended up arresting two males," he explained.

"The driver was given a three day suspension and charged with possession of a controlled substance. Both were arrested, detained, and charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking."

"Other than that we've just been checking some vehicles and making sure the rest of the people are still being safe this holiday season."
