The Estevan Snowmobile Club were the grand hosts on Friday evening as they put on a party for the finale of the Prairie Women On Snowmobiles tour.

The evening included a banquet, a program where each lady presented her testimony, and then entertainment provided by Method 2 Madness.

During a break in the music, the PWOS presented the Canadian Cancer Society and Saskatchewan Cancer Agency with a collective $97,491.99. That said, the local Club members weren't ones to hold back on their generousity.

"The Estevan Snowmobile Club donated $2,500, but we also picked up 15 rooms to around $1500, and their (the PWOS') dance tickets, at $50 a ticket. were thrown in too. It was probably closer to $5,000," shared President Dave Heir.

"It's not normal for a non-profit to give to a non-profit, but we though it was worth it. We've all been touched by cancer."

He added that they hope to be able to support the PWOS each year, and put on another event the next time the ladies come to town.
