The community came together to show their support on Saturday, as a BBQ was held in hopes to raise funds for a family in need.

Guy Vincent explains, "Sherry, my wife was diagnosed with 3rd stage Lymes disease and requires specialized treatment in Germany."

The proceeds from the event will go toward paying the high costs for travel and treatment.

"It went exceptionally well, a lot of people came out and there were a lot of donations as well," he stated.

"I would like to thank Peavy mart for helping us host this barbecue, House of stationary for printing posters, Orphium theater for advertising,

Westco Distribution for providing us with burgers and Melony Dew for helping with the barbecue."

Vincent added that, "it was a very successful event."
