Agriculture has forever been a mainstay in Saskatchewan, the practice going back centuries.

This is no less true for one local family, who still farm near Frobisher. The Neumanns run a fourth generation operation, and Fred remembers when his parents worked the land.

He himself had to, literally, pitch in his share.

A lot has changed when it comes to the technology and equipment available to get the job done.

In addition, a lot more can be put in the bin due to the new methods out there.

Starting with Fred's father then himself, the family farm continues down through his son Walter, and Walter's young son, whom they hope will carry on the tradition.

As for Fred himself, the changes can take quite a bit of getting used to.

"I'm getting to the point where, like I told Walt the other day, 'This is just about too much for an old man!'" he concluded with a chuckle.
