The road conditions may have to be a bigger consideration during your Thursday morning commute.

Environment Canada released a Freezing Rain Warning in the early morning hours, citing mild temperatures and showers moving through the southeast.

"As you head out towards Moosomin and the Carlyle area, they're on the minus side of zero, so that rain is expected to be freezing on surfaces. If you are out there travelling, make sure you're quite cautious," states Meteorologist Mike Russo, "You may want to slow down if the roads are slippery. The freezing rain itself is expected to track southeastward throughout the morning, and move into North Dakota by late this morning. The main threat's going to be during the early morning hours, although the remnants of the frozen precipitation could hang around a few hours longer."

"As you head out towards Estevan and areas west of Estevan, temperatures are near the zero mark so the precipitation will not quite be freezing in Estevan itself. As you head even further west...(the temperatures) are even milder than that."

"The main thing is just be cautious when you're out on the highways," he added.
