Worldwide support for the families and victims involved in Friday night's accident involving the Humboldt Broncos continues to pour in.

In less than 48 hours since starting the campaign, the crowd funding page set up by local hairdresser Sylvie Kellington has exceeded the $4 million threshold.

The original goal of $10,000 has been blown out of the water with over 61,000 people donating.

"As you know The Humboldt Broncos Junior A team was involved in a serious accident. Please help us raise money for the players and families affected. Money raised will go directly to families to help with any expenses incurred," posted organizer Sylvie Kellington on the page.

The page was started late Friday night and by midnight, had exceeded the $1 million mark.

Several local businesses and individuals in Humboldt, and communities across East Central Saskatchewan, are hosting their own fundraisers this upcoming week with proceeds going towards the Humboldt Broncos fund.
