Working off their success from last year, the Estevan chapter of Habitat for Humanity is working toward their next build.

"We've been working on getting some of the lottery licences in place for our cash draw that's coming up," shared Chair of the steering committee, Doug Barnstable. "That's going to be starting on March 1st, through April and then the draw is in May."

He added that they also recently held a 'Build a Sign' night and are busy planning more fundraisers for the future.

"We're looking at ramping up the fundraiser side of it as we get into the spring and summer months."

He also mentioned that the family selection process would be starting soon with the help of Regina Habitat.

"That's likely a month down the road before that will kick in. We're just waiting to hear back from them on timelines for their people as well so they can be involved in providing some of the information for prospective families."

He added that they are expecting to begin building in 2019.
