The first few days of school can be stressful for students and parents. Luckily, help is just a phone call away.

Children and adults alike can contact the Kids Help Phone at 1-800-668-6868. Jinell Nixon, an event organizer for Kids Help Phone, said the number is available 24/7.

"You can call our toll free number and get help if you're going through any situations that you need to talk to somebody about but maybe you're uncomfortable reaching out to a family member or close friend," Jinell Nixon explained.

"They have licensed councillors," Nixon added. "So, you can talk to them about substance abuse, bullying, cyber-bullying, suicide, things like that."

Councillors can be contacted anytime using their toll-free line at 1-800-668-6868. The Kids Help Phone can also be reached by text. Just message "CONNECT" to 686868 to text a councillor.
