Members of the Estevan Lions Club and the community came together Saturday morning to set up the hockey boards at Rusty Duce Park.

"I've been doing this for the past 10 years and it's just a great opportunity for the youth and the community to get out and do something other than sitting around in the house. It's a place to come hangout and have some activity," stated Ed Sinclair, a member of the Estevan Lions Club.

Although the boards are up, the ice won't be put in until later on.

"Generally the ice doesn't go in until mid December of so because of the weather conditions around here. Hopefully by Christmas break we'll have ice here and the kids can come out and use it through the Christmas break," he explained.

"We hope that the parents and the caretakers will be taking the kids out and using this as their activity spot."

"The Lions are always looking for help, and if anybody in the community wants to come out and make some ice or clean the ice you can contact me at 421-7205," expressed Sinclair.
