After a season for the history books, another chapter closes at Affinity Place as the ice is currently being taken out.

The logos will be used again next year for another exciting hockey season.

"Right now you can see the guys down there," explained Rod March, Manager of Parks and Facilities with the City of Estevan, "they're just cleaning up the paint and old stuff and taking out the old ice. Sunday we shut down the plant. The logos are out, they're drying them out for reuse next year. Right now they're cleaning up all the surface, getting ready for our next event which will take place this weekend."

"We've got lacrosse over at Power Dodge Ice Centre but during the summer times, there's a lot of events going on in this facility. Sporting events mostly at Power Dodge Ice Centre."

But it won't take too long before the ice is brought back to start everything all over again.

"This year in Affinity, depending on the Bruins' schedule and camps, it looks like the beginning of August we'll have ice back in and probably nearing the end of August it will be back in at Power Dodge Ice Centre."
