The man who was charged with the break and enter at 306 Creamery in Weyburn last June entered a guilty plea on nine charges in Estevan Provincial Court Monday, including several from Weyburn. He was sentenced to 18 months in jail, taking into account some of the time already served.

Cody Shawn Whitecap-Logan, a 22-year-old man from Estevan, was arrested in June after a break-in at the local ice cream shop. He was also arrested twice in Weyburn for breaching release conditions, and again in Estevan for breaching release conditions.

He also pleaded guilty to dangerous driving charges and trafficking cocaine after an arrest near Oxbow days before the incident in Weyburn.

Whitecap-Logan was facing other charges as well, but they were stayed by the prosecution.
