Bobby and Rochelle Krahn had a normal pregnancy like any other, as they welcomed Ember Rose on January 28th of this year. But soon the family would go through quite the battle.

On February 21 it was discovered that two of the valves in Ember's heart had developed backward. The family was finally air lifted out to Edmonton as Ember underwent the procedure to save her life. Ember is now in recovery and Bobby and Rochelle local Estevan residents are standing by on the road to recovery.

A family member started up a GoFundMe page and the local Estevan Lacrosse team has decided to step up and help as much as possible. Misty Hall with the board of directors for the Estevan Lacrosse team, "We are sharing the post because Bobby has been a long time member of Estevan Lacrosse, he started playing in 2013 and has been playing with the Estevan Impact for the past few years. He is also on our board of directors along with his wife Rochelle. Rochelle is our type director and Bobby is the marketing director as well as the director of the senior's team which he plays for."

Hall shares how everything came about, "There little girl Ember was born in January, but on the morning of February 21st, they took her to emergency in Regina. From there they tried to stabilize her for transport to Saskatoon, and from Saskatoon, she was airlifted to Edmonton. She has what is called TGA which is Transposition of the Great Arteries. So on February 22nd, she had to have major surgery to reposition the arteries in her heart."

The Lacrosse team has not only stepped up but Hall shares, "We had found on Facebook that a family member had started a GoFundMe page, my husband and I have personally donated to it, just to help out with their expenses while they're there. I'm sure it won't be easy being away for a few weeks, while they're taking care of their little girl."

An update on the family, "Ember is currently recovering and they are managing her vital signs, she truly is a fighter."
