It's that time of year...members of the Estevan branch of the Royal Canadian Legion are out on the streets for their annual Poppy campaign.

Poppy trays appear in nearly every business in the Energy City, and members canvass everywhere they go for donations and support for those whom they serve.

"The poppy drive is to help the veterans and their widows, sponsor youth groups and stuff like that. Those in need is who we're centered around," explained President Lyle Dukart.

"All the money raised is in public trust, and all used to help veterans and their widows out."

The drive continues until Rememberance Day. Then the trays will be collected and funds appropriated to where they're needed most.
