The Weight Room at the Estevan Leisure Centres will be receiving upgrades. Because of this, it will be closed on November 5th through the 10th, reopening on November 11th.

"The Estevan Leisure Centres’ Weight Room will be closed on November 5th through the 10th and is slated to reopen on November 11th," a news release explained. "This closure will allow for staff and contractors to perform some of the upgrades that the Weight Room Committee has chosen to make their first focus."

"During the shutdown, users will see upgrades to the facility in many different forms including; a new independent air handling unit that will be installed. The unit will regulate and circulate air as part of the heating, ventilation and air conditioning system to increase the air quality in the room."

"Lighting, ceiling tiles, new equipment storage areas, a fresh coat of paint, a new entry card scanning system that compliments the admission software that admissions uses, and a few pieces of equipment will be removed and added to the inventory."

"These upgrades won’t be the last of the improvements that you will see over the next few months, but they will allow for a majority of any other work that will be done in the area to be done with minimal interruption in service."

The Committee welcomes input from the community. Ideas can be forwarded to the Information Desk in the Estevan Leisure Centre or by emailing Program Manager, Erin Wilson at e.wilson@estevan.ca.
