You'll need to pack plenty of sunscreen along with your raingear of you're planning on heading out this long weekend. 

"It's going to be one of those unsettled long weekends," explained Environment Canada's Terri Laing. "Which means there's going to be showers and thundershowers on and off."

"I think sometimes people look at the forecast and go, "Oh, it's going to rain all weekend!" When we're only calling for a 40% chance of showers and thundershowers."

She added that this means it will still be a decent weekend to get out and enjoy.

"Just pay attention to the weather and be willing to change plans if a shower or thundershower does develop. Monday looks like probably the best day out of the bunch."
