Joan Adams, Park Manager at Moose Mountain Provincial Park tells us that they have been lucky in the midst of all the extreme weather these past few weeks. She explained, "We've got a good supply of rain, but that just made the park beautiful, lush, and green. We haven't had too much damage, which we're thankful for."

Moose Mountain is a popular camping spot throughout the summer and when asked how campers are handling the most recent heat wave, Adams told us that everyone is enjoying the heat.

"The beaches are full," she commented. Noting that people love water based recreation during heat waves like this. "There are lots of boats and a lovely breeze off the lake. We rent canoes and kyaks at the tourism centre. As soon as you get on the water, people seem to be able to handle the weather."
