The Estevan Police Service and the City of Estevan are asking the public today to stay away from the 1000 block of 3rd Street today as the construction on the police station expansion is set to commence today and tomorrow. For details on what is happening and how long it's set to take, check last week's discussion with Police Chief Paul Ladouceur here.

As for happenings last night, the police had two incidents to attend, a youth in distress, and a mischief report of more graffiti.

For the youth in distress, members arrived at a North Central Estevan residence where the youth was spoken to at first to de-escalate the situation, and then was taken to hospital where no further actions were required.

The second call of the night was regarding more graffiti in the city, which has been a problem now for the last two weeks. A vehicle window was the victim this time around in the northern part of the city. The matter is still under investigation, but if you or anyone else has any information regarding this or any other call, you're asked to call the EPS at (306) 634-4767, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
