The Holy Family Roman Catholic School Division has voted in favour of a new collective bargaining agreement with its teachers. The vote was held last Wednesday, at their most recent board meeting.

Gwen Keith is the director of education with the school division. She explained they were able to hammer out the new deal quickly.

“What we have is very good working relationships with our teachers, and they seem to have a good understanding of us, and we think we have a good understanding of where they’re coming from,” Keith said.

“We were able to make refinements in the contracts agreeable to both sides, and be able to establish a three-year agreement, which was very nice to do.”

The financial details of the new agreement were not disclosed.
