The Estevan Chamber of Commerce held their annual Bushiness Showcase over the weekend as a way for local and area businesses to promote their services.

"Early indication is very successful," explained Jackie Wall, Executive Director for the Chamber of Commerce. "We had a lot of great feedback from the vendors on the new location because it was at the Power Dodge Ice Centre this year which meant there was no ice so there was no problem with the condensation and the cold."

"Overall, I talked to a few of them last night as they were packing up and the feedback I got was good to exceptional so that was fantastic to hear."

She adds that there was a wide variety of vendors.

"There was fashion, there was jewelry. There was skin care, hair care, construction, there were trailers, home renovations and a lot of the community service groups as well, local groups were in talking about the Tankard. TS&M Woodlawn was there and the Bruins were there as well so it was a really great, diverse number of vendors."

She also mentioned that plans are already in the works for next year's show.

"We would like to build on it, it has dropped off a little bit in the last couple years so we would really like to build on this. I guess part of it will be the new location. I think that will lead to improved vendors because there were a few who said it was a great choice to move over to the Power Dodge Centre so I think we can build upon that."

"Next year it's our 25th so that will be really important. I'm sure we'll have some special things that we'll be planning over the next year for the 25th."
