Nobody was seriously hurt after a pickup truck hit an SUV in the intersection of King Street and Souris Avenue just before 2:00 PM on Monday.

"Just minor injuries. Most of the occupants of the vehicles were treated on scene by Estevan ambulance and released a short time after," related Estevan Police Service Sergeant Craig Bird.

"We concluded the investigation Monday night, we've got statements from witnesses and whatnot. The driver of the pickup truck was charged with failing to stop for the red light, and that, incidentally, was the cause of the accident."

He reminded the public to pay attention when driving, and obey the intersection lights.
