The Estevan Police Service had a fairly busy Saturday Evening with a few calls and two busy check stops. Early in the evening the police were called to the Canadian Tire Parking to a vehicle with On Star, On Star had an activation in that location. The vehicle and owner were located and everything was fine. 

Police also received a call in the middle of the night of dogs barking in the Plesentdale area where police spoke to the owner and informed them of the bylaw, which the owner then brought their dogs into the house. 

Police members did stop checks with one on Souris Avenue and another on 4th Street.

"Volunteers from the Estevan chapter of M.A.D.D.where out with them handing out stuff to sober drivers." Sergeant Tyler McMillen "During those check stops over 400 vehicles were checked and through the check stops nothing was located."

"Later on in the early morning hours Police located a vehicle in the central area of the city, where the driver was in care and control of that vehicle, and was over the limit. He was charged with having care and control while over the legal limit of .08, so he was charged with those two events and will have a court date later on in February."
