They say laughter is the best medicine...but if laughing is also raising support for an organization, what's to lose?

The Estevan Family Resource Center held their Comedy Fundraiser Dinner on Saturday night, with outstanding results.

"It was a really great night. The meal was great, the comedian was awesome. We had silent auction items, and the crowd was great," shared Brittany Zahn with the Center.

"I hope everybody had a great time, it seemed like it."

Ticket and drink sales, 50/50 and auction items all pooled together to raise a substantial total for the group.

"We haven't crunched all the numbers, but we're thinking we made about $5,000 out of the fundraiser, which is awesome. We're super happy it turned out the way it did," Zahn expressed.

The entertainment for the evening was Saskatchewan born and raised comedian Jody Peters.
