Four individuals were arrested by the Estevan Police Service Saturday evening, during a busy nightshift.

A 38 year old Estevan male was taken into custody and charged with driving while impaired and operation of a motor vehicle while over .08. He was placed in cells until he sobered up, while his vehicle was impounded for 30 days. He faces a date in Provincial Court in February.

Meanwhile, a 30 year old male from Martensville was arrested, according to police, after he was found littering on the 1200 block of 5th Street. He faces charges of resisting arrest and failing to comply with court ordered conditions. He, too, was lodged in cells until sober, to be released in front of a Justice of the Peace for a later court date.

Stemming from the same incident, two other males were arrested for obstruction of police officers. They were placed in cells, and the investigation into their actions is ongoing.

Other items from the evening included a reported impaired driving that police were unable to locate, and a disturbance at a local hotel that was settled with a warning.
