It is less than one month away when Estevan will host one of the biggest fundraisers for the city - The United Way Telethon.

"Preparations for the Telethon are going well," explained Patrick Fisher, President of the Estevan United Way. "With it being a couple weeks delayed, you almost feel that you're ahead of the ballgame which is nice. There's still a couple things to wrap up."

He added that the scheduling conflict that led to the Telethon being pushed back turned out to be advantageous.

"There's actually a bunch of people that could preform that couldn't preform in that last couple years which is nice to see."

"There will be new entertainment, different people from the community which will be good to see."

"The entertainment schedule looks very good this year."

And it isn't just the entertainers who help.

"Phones are manned entirely by members of the community. Different businesses, different organizations, each take a couple hours and give a hand wherever they can."
