The Saskatchewan RCMP have released the following statement regarding their investigation of two people found deceased in Midale. 

"The RCMP has concluded the investigation into the deaths of the two persons at a business in the community of Midale on April 20, 2018."

"From the time of the discovery of the deceased male and female, the RCMP was not seeking any suspects and believed this to be an isolated incident. At this time, the investigation is concluded and it can be confirmed that the two deaths were the result of a homicide/suicide."

"The investigation consisted of a forensic examination of the scene by the RCMP Forensic Identification Unit, several interviews of potential witnesses by RCMP Regina Major Crimes, and forensic autopsies of both persons."

"The investigation determined that the victim Mary Lou Clauson, aged 61 of Midale, SK  was killed by Patrick NG, aged 74 also of Midale. Clauson had been an employee at the business owned by NG."

"The cause of death is not being disclosed at the request of both the families."
