The search for Ruby Barnes is nearing the three month mark since her disappearance from the Carlyle area in June.

"Right now, we are looking. We don't know where to actually narrow down our search more than we've already looked right now. We continue making patrols, we continue following up with tips, and that's where we're sitting right now," related Staff Sergeant Darren Simons with the Carlyle RCMP detachment, adding that they're leaving everything on the table.

"On an investigation like this, we don't shut any doors. We do not believe there's foul play at this time, but until we find the missing person, we do not eliminate any option. Right now, we're looking at it as still investigating a missing person, and following up with information regarding that."

"We want to try and bring this to a resolution, especially for the family...it's a big family, and there's lots of people. They've made lots of efforts on their own, they're staying strong, but it's been very taxing because it's been a long time for them to not know what happened to their loved one," Simons said.
