The 1600 block of 3rd Street will be closed today due to a sewer replacement.

"The public is requested to avoid this area," shared City Safety Officer, Helen Fornwald, "until the construction work has been completed."

As well, the public is reminded not to move or drive around the barricades set up on King Street. It is very dangerous to do so and you can be charged under the Criminal Code and the Traffic Safety Act.

The Estevan Police Service has received a number of driving complaints. They will be monitoring the area. As well, city workers are taking license plate numbers of vehicles not obeying construction signs and forwarding them on to police.
