Estevan residents lended a helping hand on Saturday with the Salvation Army's annual Canada Post 'Stamp Out Hunger' food drive.

Folks would leave their donations outside their home in the morning, and postal service personnel would load their trucks with the staples and bring to the food bank.

"It's our biggest drive, and it takes us into the Christmas season," said Family Services Coordinator Ronza Reynard.

Members of the local Pathfinders, as well as ECS students and other locals worked together to unload the vehicles, sort and store the goods.

"With this one, and the drive we had last week with the FCC, I think we're heading into the season fairly well stocked. The community keeps supporting us so much, and we're very appreciative of that."

Reynard added that they will move the occasion to June next year to get a good start on the summer.
