There was good news from SaskPower for cities and towns representatives at the Saskatchewan Urban Municipalities Association (SUMA) conference today.

The crown corporation announced they will be allocating money for streetlight upgrades across the province.

Advocating SaskPower to convert all existing streetlights to LED fixtures at the Crown Corporation’s expense happened to be one of the resolutions SUMA representatives were set to vote on during the four-day conference.

Saskatchewan's new premier, Scott Moe, also addressed SUMA delegates today in Regina, where he solidified his party's stance on carbon tax.
