After a busy year with the St. Joseph's Hospital Foundation, changes were bound to be made and they have started off the 2019 year with a new Director of the St.Joseph's Hospital Foundation Breanne Van De Woestyne.

Van De Woestyne on her new position as the Foundation Director, "I'm very, very excited, its a great opportunity for me, definitely to just come home and really promote the awareness of our foundation in Estevan and the surrounding area. And also to continue to support the local health care in Southeast Saskatchewan."

As Director Van De Woestyne shares why she decided on Estevan, "For me, I think that promoting that local health care is really very important to me. Especially on a personal level and just being a part of this community you see the importance of supporting that special cause. And just to have that opportunity to help with that and to supply my skills and experience it is just a very exciting opportunity for me. And I am just excited to get started."

Van De Woestyne comes back to the Energy City with quite a bit of training under her belt, "I actually went to the University of Regina and took public relations and I spent 3 years at Saskatchewan Polytechnic taking new media communications, so that is kind of where I got my education. I got a lot of education just on the job, my past 2 and a half years at Evraz Place which operates Mosaic Stadium, the Brandt Centre, really helped me get that experience with the non-profit sector and to really develop those skills in marketing and communications."

"Yeah, I was born and raised in Estevan and I have been living in Regina for the past 5 years. So it was the perfect opportunity for me to come home close to my family and be a part of the community again."

Van De Woestyne very grateful expressed what she is looking forward to this year, "I am really looking forward to again bringing that awareness to the Foundation, really sharing the importance of our local hospital here in Estevan and the surrounding areas. And to just be apart of such an amazing organization here close to home, again is really just a great opportunity."
